The optimum way to survive in any circumstance is to create a strategy, and for that strategy to manifest, we must study and understand what may lay ahead.

Whether its loosing weight, achieving a new goal or helping one of my students obtain a new move, I will be using these 3 steps to help to conquer what ever the task may be. 

Day 365.

Day 365.

The end is finally upon us, 365 days of my life blogged to record all the events that occurred during that 1 year. With the last two weeks of my blog being committing to pushing myself to exceed 20+ hours of dedicated training, I felt it was quite appropriate to bring the project to a close with a high level of dedication and effort, physically and mentally. 

This project has now reached the end of its life, and from that another project will be born. Much like the mythological phoenix, once this bird has lived its life span, it makes up a nest for its self and then it will ignite, burning down into ashes where a new born baby phoenix arises.

Day 351 - 1 hour walk and Plyometrics on legs, 2 1/2 hours breaking.

Day 352 - 1 hour walk and leg workout, 1 1/4 hours Skills, arm plymetrics, 2 1/4 hours toprock and strength and stretch.

Day 353 - 45 min walk, 1 1/4 hours sets, 1 1/2 hours sets.

Day 354 - 1 hour walk/hill runs, 1 1/2 hours sets, 30 mins strength and stretch, 1 hour top rocks, 1 hour sets and skills.

Day 355 - 1 hour walk, 1 1/2 hours flips, 3 hours sets and skills/

Day 356 - 1 hour walk/hill runs, 2 hours sets, 1 1/4 sets.

Day 357 - Rest Day

Total hours of practice - 26 hours 45 minutes. 

Day 358 - 1 1/2 hours walk, 1 1/2 hours skills, 3 hours sets and strength.

Day 359 - 1 hour walk , 1 hour sets, 2 hours toprock and strength.

Day 360 - 30 mins card and strength, 2 1/2 hours sets and arc, 1 hour sets, 30 mins bike and stretch.

Day 361 - Rest Day

Day 362 - Competition Day

Day 363 - 1 1/2 hours tops and choreography, 20 mins bike, 10 mins stretch.

Day 364 - 50 mins bike, 20 min walk, 2 hours skills, 40 mins bikes.

Day 365 - 1 hour skills.

15 days remain.

With this project almost coming to a close, what an adventure it has brought! With some weeks I reached close to 40 hours of practice, and then other weeks due to personal problems I could not even bring myself to practice.
I never thought I would have overcome so many obstacles, achieved so much and learn as much about the world and myself as I have in this past year. The original reason I started this blog to see how many “Goals” I could set and then achieve, I conquered some, and failed with others, but non the less I tried, and by trying I brought myself closer to accomplishing these tasks than never starting at all.

I believe this project is possibly the best thing that I have ever sought out to do, and because of this, I intend on creating a new project with a similar concept but with a few twists.

15 days left.

With the finish line in sight, I look back down from the height I have reached and for every moment that I struggled to push through, the view makes it all worth its while.

Day 281.

Day 281.

Its been nearly 2 months since my last blog on my training schedule. My life in that time has been quite an unpleasant roller coast ride, so many mixed emotion and difficult situations have arisen. I have fallen sick several times, my partner has gone to work abroad for 6 months on a cruise ship and then due to communication difficulties the relationship began to slowly slip from our grips. The last month of my life has been the most difficult time I have ever faced, seeing the one you love the most go overseas for 6 months with the belief that you two will do the distance, then to only see that hope be washed away indefinitely.

With all that has happened recently and Shadow Wars being less than a week away, I know the odds are stacked against me. With insufficient training, lack of focus and my drive for life being at its lowest, I know it wont be an easy battle at Shadow Wars, but unlike some of the other competitors my training didn’t start when I was invited for the 1vs1 competition, mine started over 250 days ago.

Back in effect! QLD Bboy Championships are coming up this weekend. Time to put all my practice to the test and see what will prevail. I sure as hell know I’m not going down with out a fight!

Thursday 15/9/11

Day 205.
So it has been quite some time since I have written a blog and it has been 87 days since I have documented my training schedule. Life has been extremely busy, my crew Instant Bun became a Grand Finalist on Australia’s Got Talent, and as a result we have been very busy with performances, teaching, judging and also appearances. I have also returned from a trip to The Netherlands where I attend IBE, the holiday abroad was an amazing learning experience and I will defiantly return for IBE 2012!

Lets get these wheels back in motion, push further, climb higher, out live each day and watch the hours of practice begin to pile up.

Day 112-118

Tuesday 14/6/11 - Monday 20/6/11

With my health coming back, I’v had a action filled week with rehearsals, shows and our Semi-final performance on Australia’s Got Talent. But during this week I have fallen sick again, not taking care of myself in the cold weather has caused me to fall sick again! This time a nasty dry cough has taken over my immune system.

I have really had it with falling sick over and over again, its time for me to really take care of my body, this week I’m going shopping for probiotics, vitamins, veggies, fruit and juice! I’m going to overload my system vitamins to wash all these germs out of my body.

Fingers crossed I can get my body back to good health in a few days.

Tuesday 6/6/11- Monday 13/6/11

Road to Recovery.

From warm and sunny, to cold and rainy, there has been a dramatic change in the weather. My health has taking a turn for the worst and has forced me to reduce the hours of training. With Australia’s Got Talent in a week, I really need to give my body time to recover so I can be 100% for our next performance on the show.

With a week of minimal training my body is nearly back to 100%, it’s almost time for Australia’s Got Talent!

11am - Workshop at Elanora State High School

5:30pm - 2 hours of teaching break

7:30pm - 2 hours of breaking

9:30pm - 30 minutes of strength

11am - 2 Performances at Marymount College.

Knowing your limits.

Training day in and day out is no ordinary task, you are constantly pushing the limits of your own body by trying to become stronger, faster and fitter, this is not an easy request. Each day you demand 110% from your body, some days your body has it and others it doesn’t, but non the less you still try to persevere.

I have now worked past 100+ days of training, but my health is not the best, I have had a cough, fever and blocked nose for over a week now. I am now feeling the effects in the change of weather, I’m hoping for a fast recovery from this sickness.

Day 98.

2pm - 1 hour walk

5:30pm - 2 hours teaching break

7:30 - 3 hours break

Day 99.

12pm - 2 hours breaking

3pm - 45 min walk, 15 minutes stair runs

5pm - 2 hours teaching break

7:30pm - 3 hours breaking/hip hop

Day 100.

10am - 2 shows at Aquinas College

1pm - 1 show at Nerang State High School

5:30pm - 2 hours teaching acro and break

8:30pm - 2 hours break

Day 101.

9am - work

4pm - Drive to Grafton, NSW

8pm - Performance

10pm - Drive home

Day 102.

12pm - 2 hours teaching break

6pm - Dj
